More About Delta

Now 6.5 years old, Delta was born here and raised by us. She is a daughter of Gretchen and has earned titles in Agility, Coursing Ability, and Fast CATs. She is spayed, crate trained, UTD on shots and deworming, and will go to her new home with a contract requiring she be returned to us if the new owner can no longer keep her. She is well mannered and uncomplicated for the correct home.

Delta has not been raised around children or cats; she would be fine with older children (12+) that are familiar with large breeds. She has a very high prey drive so cats, livestock, small and medium dogs, and even screaming children could be in danger if excitement levels escalate. We would prefer she be the only dog in the home, or could pair well with a very mild mannered larger male dog. Delta will "correct" dogs she feels are being rude and has gotten into altercations with a few of our other females; I would not classify her as same sex aggressive but we feel a male canine housemate would be the best fit. Her ideal home will have a fenced yard as she loves being outside to sunbathe and explore (this includes digging and hunting for vermin so beware if you have flowerbeds, she has gotten half way to China on multiple occasions). She is a moderate chewer and enjoys a good chew bone or frozen stuffed kong.

Delta has had some success in Agility but those days are behind her. She absolutely loves coursing ability and Fast Cats and could continue with those sports.

There is no rehoming fee but we will be particular about her placement and would prefer she go to a home within 2 hours of Cleveland, TN 37323. She will be placed with a contract and her AKC papers will remain with Oldfort Dobermans.
